Hi! I'm Judith and I paint with bright colours on canvas and embroider them with fine yarn, often with a view of the sea.
I paint for women who inspire society with their attitude, their business and their creativity. Women who care about social justice.
Women who dare to let their businesses grow slowly.
Focusing on quality rather than quantity.
Women who will not be visible at any cost, yet still leave a visible mark.
I connect them through the thread I use for embroidery and the patterns that have been passed down for generations.
I find my artistic inspiration in traditional embroideries made by Greek women and in the architecture and colours that surround me in Crete.
A Touch of Greek Design in Every Artwork
I am deeply inspired by Greek craftsmanship (craftswomenship). That's why you'll find variations of traditional symbols and shapes in my artworks. Greek culture offers endless sources of inspiration across continents:
like the blue that appeared on chinese porcelain and spread across what is now Turkey to Greece, transformed by talented fashion designer Marietta Karpathou into modern design.

How can I commission an artwork?
After an initial online meeting, we both consider whether a collaboration is an option for us. Then you will receive a questionnaire so that I can develop concrete ideas for you.
I will then present my ideas to you and together we will see what suits you. When you give me your "Go!" I start painting and send you weekly updates.
I am not sure what suits my interior. Can I still order something?
Absolutely! You don't have to know anything, but you get to decide a lot. I have decades of experience in colours, spatial effects, composition, materials - I could go on forever. So get in touch!
I'm not sure what the colours of an existing artwork really are - can I get photos or videos of a piece?
I'd be happy to send you some detail shots and / or a short video of the artwork you want.
